TriTAG believes that Grand River Transit should improve service with a view to making transit a more attractive and more effective mode of transportation. Transit should not only function well for people unable or unwilling to drive, it should be of sufficient quality that it is able to entice those who have the choice of driving. More transit use is beneficial for the environment and for the form of our cities.

We are pushing for more routes and service and more buses on busy routes. We believe that transit users should be able to ride with dignity: this means comfortable seating, fewer and less obtrusive ads, minimized overcrowding, and helpful tools such as stop announcements and effective information.

TriTAG proposes a bold line network of buses that would provide guaranteed frequent service on major transit corridors.

We fully support Waterloo Region’s proposed Light Rail system.
